Scott managed to get 50 signatures for a petition she presented at the board’s meeting. She tracked down people that use the road, from the chief of the fire department to the local mail carrier.
She says, “I got a petition up for the road a long time ago. This is my second petition. When you go to get everybody’s signatures, you would like to see some improvements, but nothing happens.”
But Bob Moore will meet with StonewalK; Hawthorne supervisor Bob Anderson to see what improvements will be made to Route 615. Because the residents of Castleton have com* plained, the matter has been ranked number five on Moore’s priority list for Rappahannock - County.
Moore says, “If people hadn’t shown up to the meeting, the issue could have slid down the list.”
