At the National Cherry Pie Baking Contest held Feb. 19-24 in Chicago, Rena Pullen, a senior at Rappahannock County High School and Virginia State Champion, did not win, but did an excellent job of representing her state.
Rena is the 19 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Pullen of Sperryville. She was accompanied to Chicago by Mrs. Glenna O. Bennett, Home Economics teacher at the high school. She has been a member of FHA for the past four years.
