In the movie Boone is an outsider but in reality, Boone says that he came to T.C. Williams as an assistant coach in 1969. The original Titans have organized to accept invitations in theatres around the country where they take part in Q & A sessions after the film. Regretfully, the RAAC Film Committee’s attempts to arrange for an appearance by the original Titans were unsuccessful. Denzel Washington has had an outstanding film career. Born in 1954, Washington grew up in New York, attended Fordham, was married in 1982 and has four children. He took a 50 percent pay cut to star in “Remember the Titans.” His other films include “Malcolm X”, “The Hurricane”, “Pelican Brief”, “Devil in Blue Dress”, “The Siege” and “He Got Game.” RAAC will show the movie Friday, March 2 at 8 p.m. at The Theatre on Gay Street. The movie is rated PG and the running time is one hour and 53 minutes. Adults $5, students $4 and children $3.
