The Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Point Races have been set for March 4 starting at 12:30 p.m. The races will be held at Mr. James W. Fletcher’s Thornhill Hill Farm, three miles south of Sperryville on Route 522. The pubic is invited and tickets will be sold at the gate, $1 per person.
Over a hundred Amissville firemen, Junior firemen, Auxiliary members and visiting firemen, ladies and special guests enjoyed the eighth annual banquet given at the Amissville fire company by the Ladies Auxiliary on Feb. 24 at the fire hall. The sumptuous turkey and old Virignia ham dinner was served on beautifiilly decorated tables arranged in a horseshoe.
