I had an article ready and waiting to use when we got our big snow of the winter. With the snow this week and only a couple inches at that, I guess the weather isn’t going to cooperate with me as spring is just around the corner. I’ll just write about it without the cooperation of the weather.

Growing up as a child, I just loved the snow. When the snow started falling our saying was “old woman, old woman, up so high, pick your geese while the white feathers fly.” It seemed we had more snow then than we are having now.

If there was school Daddy would make us a path to the bus using a hand made snow drag. This was a V-shaped snow plow pulled by a horse. The drag was about 18 inches high with a board nailed across it to sit on and his weight would hold it down. The snow would melt faster once the path was pushed out.
