5. On Thursday, March 2nd, the Middle School AD’s are meeting with league officials to coordinate the schedule for the season
According to Mr. Smythe, “I’ve talked with them all last week. Only Marshall Middle School has said they won’t play us this year. Their principal wants the league to involve only Fauquier County teams the first year. The other AD’s have no problems playing with us, they will discuss the matter during the March 2 coordination meeting. We should know more by the end of the week. In the meantime, I’ve informed the leadership of the RSL on what’s happening. I’ve also discussed options with Mr. Kenny Rodgers (Jr. Panther soccer coach) and Mr. Mark Ramey (Boys’ Varsity Soccer Coach). Hopefully, we can get something started with the schools in Fauquier. If not, we’ve got to keep our kids playing, playing a lot, and playing against the best competition we can find.”
