He loved horses and rode for most of his life; he was also an avid reader, and served as a Literacy Volunteer. The main enthusiasm of his life though was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Irene; his daughter, Tutt Stapp-Harris of Castleton and her husband, Hunt Harris and his grandson Jamie Harris of Steamboat Springs, Colo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Manassas with the Rev. Vinnie Carney. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Literacy Volunteers of America Culpeper Chapter.
