Thus, when the Democrat Party spends tax money on welfare, education, health care, or other people-centered programs, it is “buying votes” from their special interest groups. But when the Republic Party favors military industries, big Tobacco, big Pharmaceuticals, or tax cuts for the wealthy, it does so because these are all core values.
As for waste, the Democrat expenditures for their special interests are small potatoes compared to the billions spent by the Republics on Ronald Reagan’s faithbased missile system, a.k.a. “Star Wars,” or on the “Stealth Bomber” that can’t fly in the rain.
