Director’s report
In addition to presenting his draft budget, Library Director Shaffer brought the Board up to date on facilities improvements. He reported that a new water fountain has been installed, and a baby changing station has been put in the women’s restroom in response to a recent request for such facilities by Ellen Pullen.
Both the new fountain and the changing station were paid for with County funds. Mr. Shaffer also noted that boiler repairs had been completed, and the cost for the repairs was “a few hundred dollars” under the estimate of $840.
Treasurer’s report
No report was received from the Treasurer for the month, but progress was reported in the automation of the library’s accounting system. That project is nearly complete and preliminary monthly
