other really good Shakespeare modern remakes include: “Hamlet”, 2000, with Ethan Hawke, Julia Stiles and Sam Sheperd; The famous 1987 “Taming of the Shrew” with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton during one of their several marriage to each other; “Much Ado About Nothing”, 1993, with Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington and Kenneth Branaugh; “Looking for Richard” (Based on Richard III) made in 1196 with A1 Pacino as the king, and the 1996 “Twelfth Night” with Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Kingsley. Classic Shakespeare videos are also available and are excellent, but we frankly enjoy the newer films. Pearls before swine, you know.
