Miss Becky Jones of Washington appeared on Inga’Angle television program Tuesday morning, Oct. 31. Miss Jones, a Home Economist with the Self-Rising Flour and Cornmeal program, gave a demonstration, making corn muffins with a tuna topping.
Late and lasting foliage in the mountains brought an almost record number of people to this area over the weekend. On the Skyline Drive the heaviest traffic for any weekend this year was reported by Park Rangers.
More than 6,200 cars entered Shenandoah National Park through manned entrances while uncounted vehicles entered through other points. An estimated 55,000 people visited the Park during the weekend.
The largest vote in ten years was cast in’this County election for Agricultural Conservation and Stabilization Community Committees. Farmers were elected from Stonewall, Wakefield, Hampton, Piedmont and Jackson Communities.
