Earlier this week, the Virginia Department of Forestry announced that open air fires are unlawful until further notice.
It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in or cause open burning at any location which is closer than 300 feet to forest lands, brush lands, or fields containing dry grasses or other flammable material.
