with a Best In Show win at the Virginia State Fair. Three American Dairy Goat Association Shows were held in Richmond. Ben competed in the Youth Show, Open Senior Doe Show, and Open Junior Doe Show.
Home-bred “Bearly Rebellious Magpie” was Ben’s big winner with two Grand Championships and a Best In Show win. Yearling “Bearly Storm E Thunder” and twoyear-old milking doe “Dixie Does Texas K Hope Chest” both received Reserve Grand Championships.
“Skylines El Nino”, Ben’s three-year-old milking doe, won first place in her Open Show class. Three cheeses, produced at Bearly Dairy Goats, won first place in their respective classes in the Open Dairy Goat Products division.
Ben was awarded the Premier Youth Alpine Exhibitor and the Premier Youth Alpine Breeder Awards at the conclusion of the shows.
