Death is an inevitability that poses some practical choices that have to be made before survivors can go about the more important task of grieving. If survivors are left to make these decisions, they are likely to be experiencing emotions that render the process all the more difficult. For this reason alone, matters should be discussed in advance and funeral prearrangement considered. Having an honest conversation about death, and what preferences should be followed when it occurs need not be difficult. Death is a part of life, and funeral arrangements are as necessary as life insurance. And like life insurance, prearranging your funeral makes it possible to take steps to ensure that your loved ones are spared needless concern.
