Pursuant to Sect™s 176-108.5, 170-108.6, and 170-129 of the Rappahannock County Code and Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors for Rappahannock County, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on MONDAY, DECEMBER 3,2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia in order to consider.the following application:

Application for Personal Wireless Services Facilities

Use Permit and for Amendment to the Comprehensive Plan

of Rappahannock County

PWSFU Permit #01-08-01 Application by Sprint PCS to construct

either a 199’ monopole Category 4 facility on

property (referred to as “Duxbury Isthmus")

owned by Robert A. and Joan M. Duxbury on

Tax Map 33, Parcel 62, zoned “A" -

Agricultural, located on Weaver Road in

Amissville, Jackson District, OR alternatively, a

199' monopole Category 4 facility on property

(referred to as "Amissville Fire Department")

owned by Amissville Volunteer Fire

Department on Tax Map 32A-1, Parcel 6,

zoned “RR" - Rural Residential, located on Lee

Highway in Amissville, Jackson District.

Use allowed and regulated under Article XII, Section 170-108.1 et seq of the Rappahannock County Code.

The requested facility is also the subject of a proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan of Rappahannock County (adopted July 6, 1998), in the form of a map, following the format of mapping contained elsewhere within the Plan, showing the location of any approved facilities, to be inserted at Chapter 5, Public Utilities, and entitled "Personal Wireless Services Facilities”.

A copy of the foregoing application is on file at the Zoning Office in Washington, Virginia, and is available for public inspection, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The above-named applicant, adjacent property owners, and any other parties desiring to be heard should be present at said meeting or should address their written comments to the Board of Supervisors, c/o P.O. Box 519, Washington, Virginia 22747, in advance thereof.

NOTICE OF RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY

DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS

The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee hereby announces that it will hold an assembled caucus beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, December 1,2001 at The Washington Town Hall on Gay Street for the purpose of electing members to the new Rappahannock County Democratic Committee for the 2001 - 2003 Biennium.

Any Democrat wishing to be a member of the Committee must file an Application for Membership with Meredith Gorfein, Chair, or with the Credentials Officer present at the check-in area no later than 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1,2001. Filing forms will be available from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Town Hall on the day of the caucus. They will also be available at the Registrar of the Voters office on Gay Street in Washington or by calling 675-3515. It is not necessary to be present at the Caucus in order to be elected as member of the Committee.

There Is no charge for those wishing to attend and vote at the caucus.

Doors to the caucus will open at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast and check-in. Any person attending the caucus shall sign a standardized Caucus Participation Form stating that he or she is a Democrat, does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic nominee in the ensuing general election, believes in the principles of the Democratic Party, and is a registered voter in Rappahannock County. Caucus Participation Forms must be filled out at the caucus prior to participating in the caucus. At 10:00 a.m. the doors to the caucus will be closed and no person may complete a form and participate in the caucus after that time with the exception of those persons in line at 10:00 a.m.
