Rapidtran will not operate
Rapidtran transportation services will not operate on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Nov. 21-23 in observance of Thanksgiving. Rapidtran is a program of the Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services Board.
Blue Moon schedule
Black Sheep will return to Blue Moon Cafe on Saturday, Nov. 24 for a performance. Stevie G. will perform on Friday, Nov. 23. Blue Moon Cafe is open Thursday through Sunday and is located on US 211, just west of Sperryville For more information call 987-3162.
DMV closed for Thanksgiving
In observance of Thanksgiving Day. all Department of Motor Vehicles customer service centers will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and remain closed through Friday, Nov. 23. All customer sen/ice centers will be open as usual on Saturday, Nov. 24.
Clinic will be open Nov. 28
The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Nov. 28 this month due to the Thanksgiving holiday and not again until Dec. 5.
Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Public Health Department Building. For additional information call 347-0394.
County artists wanted
The Piedmont Artists’ League invites all Rappahannock artists to participate in a nonjuried show and sale from Friday, Dec. 7 through Saturday, Dec. 15 at Art-N-More in Warrenton. The show will coincide with the first week of Old Town Warrenton's Christmas festivities, with a reception on Dec. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Bus trip to pageant slated
The Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Locust Grove, invites Rappahannock resident to travel with them to see the Christmas Pageant presented by Evangel Cathedral, Upper Marlboro, Md. on Saturday, Dec. 1. The pageant is in its 15th year, but this is the first season in the new 2300 seat facility. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 12:15 p.m. and return at approximately 9 p.m. Tickets are $33/person which includes entrance to the show and round trip bus transportation.
