TVaditional gifts for Christmas are, well, a little on the traditional side. You know what I mean: a tie for dad, a bike for the kids, a fruitcake for somebody you don’t like too well but you have to send a present to.
Well, this year, why not try something new and old at the same time? Give out the traditional gifts, but bring them upto-date.
Dad can still get a tie — but not the same old silk thing that makes men think of the gallows every time they cinch it up tight on their throats. Admittedly they look good, but they can’t compare to this year’s article: a bolo tie, that you can get at places throughout the county like Happy Trails Western Wear in Bealeton.
Nobody you know likes a fruitcake. But you still feel a need to give something edible to friends.
How about a Christmas cheesecake? That would be a welcome change from the sameold, same-old, and who knows, it might look so good that you’d just have to keep it yourself!
