The annual Community Thanksgiving service sponsored by the Amissville Ruritans, Amissville United Methodist Church, Amissville Baptist Church, and the Amissville United Methodist Women will be held at the Amissville United Methodist Church this year. The service will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
Please bring canned and boxed goods, and non-perishable items for our Community Food Baskets, which we give out at Christmas.
Cash donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 75, Amissville, Va. 20106 C/O the Amissville Community Christmas. All donations are tax deductible and are used to fill the food baskets. If you need more information, call Hackley’s Store at 937-5373.
Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! Take this time to be thankful for what you have and remember those that are not with us this year. Live every day to the fullest, as life is too short to worry about the small stuff. Take time to visit an elderly person or a neighbor who has been ill.
