Preparation

Put confectionery coating in a bowl and microwave on low about 15 seconds or until almost melted. Complete melting by stirring chocolate until it’s smooth.

Use a basting or paint brush to spread the chocolate on the under side of a leaf. This will make the leaf easier to remove once the chocolate has hardened and will give it a more natural look. When the leaf is coated, place it on tray chocolate side up. Repeat until you have about 5-7 coated leaves. Refrigerate until hard, about 5 minutes. Re-coat leaves with chocolate and place in refrigerator again. Repeat for a third time. Chill 15 minutes after the last coating (depending on the thickness of the chocolate) for a firm set. Do not refrigerate for more than 1/2 hour.

Once set, remove coated leaves from refrigerator.
