Time has swiftly flown by and its that time again. Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in the month of November and time for everyone in this great country of ours to pause and give thanks for all the bounty and blessings that our Lord has showered down upon us.
The Pilgrims from the old country landed at Plymouth Rock in 1620 and in October 1621 they celebrated their first Thanksgiving.
Every year since 1863, Thanksgiving Day has been observed annually here in our United States and has become the best loved and celebrated holidays.
Not only here in our nation, but also all U.S. territories and Puerto Rico observe this holiday.
Truly Thanksgiving is the time to spend with our families and to give thanks for health, happiness and prosperity and may each and everyone eryoy the holiday to the fullest and may we remember:
“Now thank we all our God, With heart, hands and our voices, Who wondrous things hath done, In whom His world rejoices.”
Following Thanksgiving there are some other days to be remembered as nationally to Make Up Your Own Week. Yesterday was the day of Turkeys Failed Labor Strikes w-hich originated Nick in 19(X). Friday is National Turkey Sandwich Day being followed bv National Leftover Turkey Day on Saturday.
