Cook-off at the Inn Redwood Creek Wines invites everyone to sample regional fare from across the country paired with its wines at a cook-off at the Inn at Little Washington on Dec. 1 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. At the event, five finalists will compete in Redwood Creek’s “Local Flavors of America Cook-off” and prepare their signature dishes. Sara Moulton, executive chef at Gourmet Magazine, will select the winner who will receive a $25,000 kitchen makeover. This event is free and open to the public, however everyone must RSVP to (877) 236-8729, Ext. 10. Reservations are required and available on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited and everyone must be 21 or older to attend. Diane MacPherson of the Foster Harris House B&B had gone to the Fauquier Hospital for some tests on Nov. 12 but by surprise had an emergency appendectomy and is recovering nicely. John and Diane would like to send a special thanks to Gary and Michelle of the Heritage House B&B for checking in guests and Kahina of the Inn at Little Washington for driving John to the hospital, since they only had the one vehicle. What a great town! This is just one of the many blessings we can be thankful for in Washington.
