Hospice of the Rapidan, which includes Rappahannock County, has joined with hundreds of other hospice and palliative care organizations across the country to raise awareness about end-of-life care during the month of November.
While Hospice provides comfort, care, and dignity to terminally ill patients and their families, the topic need not be frightening. Hospice care is not about dying, but about achieving a better quality of life near the end of life.
Hospice of the Rapidan is a licensed, nonprofit hospice organization providing skilled medical care and compassionate support to terminally ill patients and their families in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, Rappahannock and surrounding comities.
The hospice’s community outreach includes efforts to dispel several common misconceptions about hospice care.
