Additional survivors include two sisters Mollie Jacobs Payne, of Marshall, Thelma Jacobs Crawford of Fairfax, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Jenkins Jacobs, formally of Rappahannock County, and a brother.
Graveside funeral services were held on Nov. 23 at the Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided bv the American Legion Post 330 and V.F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guard and Rev. Trey Hensley officiating.
