his people skills.
This officer needs to know he was wrong too, and he needs to learn that he can’t go screeching into a situation before he knows all the facts. He can’t go yelling at a mother with two kids in the car and not know for sure what he really is yelling at. What kind of an example is it to a seven and a five-year-old boy to see an officer (who we are trying to teach to respect) behave that way?
Here is a thought. This is a ^mall town, say, “Hello,” talk to people, evaluate first, be friendly unless the situation proves that you need to act otherwise.
Again, I was wrong, but did he really need to come practically into my car window and point his finger in my face? This was not a high speed chase and I am not a bank robber. Even if he has to fake it and pretend to be polite, he would get a better response from people. It isn’t always what you say, it is how you say it.
Officer, you need to work on your people skills!
