For an athletic program that has struggled in the past, this season looked uncertain for the Rappahannock County High School girls’ basketball team. That is until the athletic director, J.D. Almond, stepped forward to coach this team.
Just one week into prac, tice, Almond is optimistic in the outcome of his team. “My goal is that the girls win more than the boys,” said the new coach as his team practiced pass plays in the Panther gym one recent afternoon.
