The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection’s annual meeting at Spring Mountain School did indeed turn into a celebration of Rappahannock as those attending the meeting joined the Friend’s of Gaia in dancing. Robert Dennis, president of the Piedmont Environmental Council, received sustained applause when he got up to speak on the subject of opposition to the Disneys America Project, but he said he had come partly to thank the people of Rappahannock for their help in the fight.
Soaring arrows and feathers fluttering in the breeze marked the Cub Scout Pack 123’s “Turkey Shoot” at the November pack meeting this past Saturday. Earning first place in the “Turkey Shoot” competition were Matthew Elliot, Tymeyer Freeman, Henry Robertson, Joey Pullen, and Philip Thomas.
