Chris Johns’ compelling African photographs and oil paintings by William Whiting, Chris Stephens and Martin Woodard will be featured in Long View Gallery’s 4th Annual Holiday Show which runs from Nov. 26 through Dec. 24.
There will be a reception for the artists on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 4-7 p.m. Everyone is invited.
The exhibit presents the work of some of the area’s favorite artists including Chris Johns, who was recently named the new editor of National Geographic Magazine. His African photographs focus on the complex relationships among the people, wildlife and the land in an era of change. His book, “Wild At Heart” is a compilation of his work in Africa and includes essays by Peter Godwin and a forward by Nelson
