love Sperryville because it is the oddest town in Rappahannock. It’s always been the tourist end of the county and snuggled in our mountains is the most eclectic collection of items you’ll find in our area. If it says “Virginia” we got it. If it’s top quality and handmade, we got it. If it tastes great, we got it. If it’s velvet and has Elvis on it, we got that too. From the best to the worst, we have it all here. Sperryville is also the most I relaxed town in Rappahannock. We tend to accept what the wind blows in, whether it’s new folks, a paint color that suits the owner but not the neighbor, or Cooter’s “Dukes of Hazzard Museum.” We try to accept, rather than scorn. That’s what being good neighbors is all about. Looking for a fun day in Rappahannock? It’s called Sperryville and I’m thankful for it.”
