daylight because Bob said it would be a nice morning but to get any yard work done because it would be raining by noon. When I awoke that morning it was raining cats and dogs. After that, every time we were doing something outdoors requiring good weather, we would laugh and say we had better check with Bob Ryan.
I can remember when 'my parents and his parents passed away; we spent a lot of time together. We never gave each other our condolences. We never talked about a lot of anything. We didn't have to because just being together was all we needed.
Bobby got up early every morning to go to work, so on Sunday he would sleep in until about 8 a.m. Some mornings I would go over early and sit in his yard and wait for him to get up. As he would come out the door I would ask him where he had been. He would say ‘getting my beauty sleep " I would tell him to go back to bed because he was as ugly as ever. We would both laugh.
Of all the years we were together I never heard him utter the Lord’s name in vain and not once did we ever have an argument or even a cross word. I thank him for teaching me the real values of life, honesty. hard work, family loyalty, and being a good friend. Anyone who ever worked with Bobby or knew him knows exactly what I’m talking about.
