Learning about other cultures has long been a valued tradition at WCDS, whose mission statement includes “a commitment to instilling respect for and communication and understanding among varied cultures.” The school’s cur iculum includes a strong history component that makes three complete cycles through the history of Western Civilization, with pertinent digressions during the prep school years into Eastern cultures, religions, and philosophies.
