“The property became available and I thought it would be nice to pass on to my children,” said DeBergh, whose family has lived in Rappahannock County for several generations.

He named the property Pleasant View Acres after the family estate of the same name on Harris Hollow Road where he and his wife live.

DeBergh also added that he does not mind just “sitting on the land” since it is a good investment. “That is our plan for now and it makes sense to subdivide now while I can afford to do it. If it becomes necessary down the road, my children may sell the land, but for now I plan on just having the land there,” said DeBergh.
