In what has become an autumn tradition at Wakefield Country Day School, the school auditorium was transformed recently into an international bazaar to celebrate “International Day.”
Students were treated on Nov. 19 to the vibrant colors, traditions and flavors of 18 countries, including India, France, Spain, Korea, Vietnam, Italyv Russia, Jamaica, Egypt and Russia.
Several weeks before, each grade “adopted” a different country, studying it in depth, and then used International Day to visually share their knowledge with others, using backboards and other displays. Students in younger grades were issued “pass
