From turkey to tinsel the holiday season has begun with families gathering all around town.

Susan and Walt Longyear and daughter, Casey, a junior at VCU in Richmond, visited Susan’s 93-year-old mother in Sarasota, Fla., over the holiday. Susan said the weather was great.
