Members of the board of Zoning Appeals granted a special use permit to David and Marilyn Armor of Sperryville for a bed and breakfast. The Armors have two small buildings on their property near Nethers which they plan to use for overnight guests. Mrs. Armor says that she plans to deliver breakfast to her guests instead of having it served in her home. “We are not looking to expand and are not looking to live off this, she said. The Armors also have a vineyard, and plan to have their own winery on the property in a couple of years.
Fletcher Eastham hosts organized shoots at his family’s Ben Venue Farm most weekends. Last Sunday’s shoot included Bill and Brooke Fletcher, Mrs. Fletcher's brother-in-law Dowell Tye from New York City, Rob and Jack De Bergh, and Dennis Fairbrother The shoots begin with a mandatory safety lecture. Mr. Eastham said the highest score at his range was 45 in a tournament he held earlier this month and “Most people here shoot in the 20s or low 30s.”
