Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s 76th birthday was observed on Sunday at The Theatre in Little Washington, with the Rev. Donald Simpkins of Flint. Hill’s Macedonia Baptist. Church serving as master of ceremonies.
After listening to one of the most moving renditions of our national anthem ever heard anywhere, Simpkins observed, “It was hard to keep my composure!”
Indeed, there were few who were not deeply moved with joy and pride among those 120 who came to celebrate
