Softball registration

Piedmont Softball Association, the Babe Ruth League International affiliate based in Amissville has set registration dates for its spring program.

Open to all girls ages 5-18 years of age (bom anytime in 1986 through 1999 ) residing in Rappahnnock County, the fee is $40 for girls 12 and younger and $45 for girls ages 13-18. Players new to Piedmont must bring their original birth certificate at time of registration.

PSA offers both a regular season game schedule, as well as tournament play for any girls interested. Every Piedmont team has opportunities to play other PSA and neighboring Babe Ruth teams, as well as teams with different affiliations.

Registration is from 9 a.m. until noon on the following Saturdays: Jan.22, Jan. 29 and Feb. 12 at Bill Payne Auctions, Route 211, Amissville between Early’s Carpet and Mayhugh’s Store. For more information, call 937-4142, 675-3729 or 9375595.
