Rappahannock’s delegate, Allen L. Louderback (R-Page) has reintroduced his legislation to create a pilot program for privatizing liquor sales in Virginia. If enacted, the legislation, House Bill 1498, would require Virginia’s Alcoholic Beverage Commission to issue franchises to private owners as a requirement for opening new stores.
