Dr. John J. “Ski” Sygielski, president of Lord Fairfax Community College, announced in December the creation of the Center for Civil War History, a resource for local educators and citizens.
An inaugural luncheon and lecture will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 22 at Rappahannock County High School.
The event is open to the public. The cost for the luncheon and lecture is $20; preregistration is required by calling (540) 351-1524.

“The Center for Civil War History will be an affordable and accessible resource for students, educators, and others in the college’s service region,” said Sygielski.
“The Center demonstrates LFCC’s commitment to Rappahannock County and the growing number of individuals who are requesting such learning opportunities.
