Last week, Kevis voiced his point again that he did not like the way the application was made by the owners and could not approve the application.
Finally, after much discussion and after Patrick O’Connell — one of the owners of The Inn who is also an ARB member — recused himself, a roll call vote was taken resulting in a 2-2 tie, and the application was denied.

Barton asked the two members who had voted against the request to explain their reasons, and once again Kevis, said he could not approve the change made, since the application was made after the renovation,
“I am abstaining my vote on principle,” said Kevis.
Barton asked Kevis if he intended to abstain from the vote or to vote nay, to which Kevis said again, “I am abstaining from voting.”
“Mr. Kevis is abstaining. We now have a 2-1 vote. Application approved,” said Barton.
