Answer: So, what shape are raindrops? Spheres! The familiar “teardrop” form may be observed as water runs off a solid surface, but it doesn’t persist. As water falls through the air, it oscillates around a spherical form. Dewdrops, raindrops, and our water-planet that we call Earth all strive toward this same form.
