Another popular part of the circuit, most hunt’s host a hunter pace in conjunction with their race meet. Pairs of riders are timed as they travel crosscountry over a preset course of two to four miles. There are divisions for hilltoppers, with optional jumping, and over fences for juniors and adults. For the daredevils, there is a fast time division for adults over fences, but most riders compete in the optimum time division.
For the optimum time, the host hunt has a pair of hunt members ride the course, usually the morning of the event.
