At first blush, one might wonder why 106 guests would rush to pay $1,000 per person to attend a benefit dinner. But when it is for a worthy local cause supported by a large number of citizens—and hosted by the Inn at Little Washington—one should not be surprised.
The worthy cause is the ongoing fund raising efforts by the Krebser Fund for Rappahannock County Conservation, a nonprofit group of Rappahannock citizens committed to increasing private land preservation in our county. The Krebser Fund was formed in 2003 in honor of the late Dr. Werner Krebser, a highly respected physician and dedicated conservationist in Rappahannock County.
