Position will provide educational commercial horticultural programming to producers in the areas of small fruits, vineyards, nursery crops, greenhouses, and other areas as needed. Develops, implements and evaluates educational programs in the areas of production, marketing, financial management, pest management, and other areas necessary to help producers be more competitive. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in horticulture or related field and 3 years directly related experience. Master s degree highly preferred. Must have the ability to communicate both written & orally, ability to conduct educational programs; ability to use computer. Must obtain Commercial Category 10 Pesticide License (demonstration & training) within 6 months of employment. There will be some night & weekend activities, hours flexible.
