“There would be a membership fee but people could come in and go directly upstairs. I envision comfy leather sofas and couches with perhaps its own bar. I’m not quite sure when we’ll introduce this feature but it is a plan,” said Barten.
The upstairs of Griffin Tavern has another feature that not many people may realize. The long, narrow hallway is perfect for an art gallery. Barten doesn’t look to change that attraction which currently boasts the works of several local artists.
