The sign on Crest Hill Road sa. “High Meadow Farm,” and a long farm lane winds beside beautifully rebuilt stone fences, fields, some studded with hay bales and others with cows, an old log cabin, a pond, and bam. Finally this lane makes a right angle turn, and, in front of the visitor, is the manor house of High Meadow. Behind it the surrounding mountains and hills seem to enfold and protect it.

On tour

High Meadow Farm is one of the houses featured in this year’s Dried Flower Sale and House Tour, sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women of Trinity Church in Bromfield Parish. The sale and tour scheduled for October 15 and 16, is the group’s only fundraiser, and monies are used for charities both in and outside the county.
