The Krebser Fund hopes to increase that amount significantly to ensure that Rappahannock maintains its pastoral beauty forever.
Thanking the guests who attended the gala fundraising event, the Fund’s chair, Fran Moore Krebser, noted, “Prior to this event, we raised over $150,000 and with this event, we have raised over $200,000. On top of that, we have been awarded a matching donation from the Greve Foundation. For every $2 the Krebser Fund raises, the Greve Foundation will donate $1, up to $500,000. This will go a long way in helping us reach our goal of protecting Rappahannock’s beautiful views and agricultural way of life.
This could not have been accomplished without the generosity of everyone here.”
Another enjoyable highlight, of an already fascinating evening was an Art Show of well-known area artists especially mounted for the occasion at the Shops of the Inn at Little Washington. Sales from the show brought in another $5,000 for the Krebser Fund.
The artists represented in the exhibit included Sandra Forbush, Chris Stephens, Barbara Sherwood, Lois Manookian, William Whiting, Robin Purnell, Patton Wilson,
