Robert and Joanie Ballard, of R.H. Ballard Art, Rug & Home in Washington, VA, recently returned from a trip to the Alsace-Lorraine region of France where they explored the French Jacquard looming factories and discovered an area of the world that was both welcoming and beautiful.
Driving through the mountainous Vosges region, they were struck by the similarities between Rappahannock County and the stunning vistas of the Vosges Mountains.
