Native son home safe
School Board chairman Wesley Mills announced at the beginning of the meeting, that Secretary to the Superintendent, Mrs. Mel Paratore’s son Frank Paratore is returning from Iraq, safe and sound. This met with good wishes to Paratore and her son, and a moment of good cheer and warm feelings for his safe homecoming.

Paige Coombs of Headwaters introduced Taylor Wood, the new college guide working with the school’s Next Step program. Wood just graduated from the University of Virginia and is interning with Rappahannock public schools through a grant from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.
Wood addressed the board.
