The Rappahannock County parish has formed a task force to plan and carry out the sister parish program. Possible future projects include Thanksgiving gift baskets, Christmas gifts for children, pen-pal programs involving kids of both parishes, and other direct contacts. The hope is to develop a long-term, personal relationship between the sister parishes that will outlast the destruction of Katrina.
Anyone wishing to make donations to this relief program may contact Bill Jarrett, 675-1000, or John Hagarty, 937-2200, or mail checks to Fr. Joseph Trinh, St. Ann’s Church, P.O. Box 1037, Lakeshore, MS 39558.
