ELEVATING HOSPICE
AWARENESS
Even as high-tech interventions to improve endof-life care have developed over the past few decades, increasing numbers of elderly people facing death are most receptive to hospice care. Hospices are facilities and service organizations that specialize in end7of-life care. According to recent research, giving straight forward information to elderly individuals facing death in nursing homes makes them more likely to enter hospices, where they can receive better, more personalized care during their last days. Researchers found that one out of every five terminally ill nursing home residents who received an informational visit describing hospice care entered a hospice with in the next 30 days. Hospice patents and their families, in general, are more satisfied with the end-of-life care they receive.
More and more people are benifitting from the ease and gentle care offered by hospice workers. At the MOSER FUNERAL HOME, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton we are proud of our record of service to this community. Call us at 347-3431 to set up an appointment. “God does not take away trials or carry us over them, but atengthens us through them."
